What’s new:
- General availability of automated .NET and Java upgrade—Projing of the latest versions .NET and Java unlocks the performance, security and improvement of functions, but control and update of dependence can be time -consuming. Github Copilot is now automating this process with AI agents who analyze your code base, detect breaking changes, suggest secure migration pathways, and apply assembly repairs (including addiction updates and security controls.) Microsoft Teams has used this ability to upgrade multiple projects to .NET 8 – reducing months of effort to just hours.
- Modernization of applications for Java is now generally available, with .NET in public preview. Launching upgraded applications on Microsoft Azure will unlock a scalable, secure and cost -effective foundation. With built-in high availability, global range, integrated monitoring and enterprise security-Azure, it makes it easier for team deployment, operation and scaling with confidence. The modernization process is effective: it analyzes your application, identifies addictions, solves problems specific to the platform, contains the code, generates artifacts of deployment and starts into the Dev/Test-all environment when aligned with security standards and compliance with your organization regulations. Ford China has used this approach to modernize middleware applications, shortening time and effort by 70%.
Thanks to the modernization of Github Copilot applications, developers can focus on building what will be-up-to-like AI process fatigue, time-consuming work to update the older code. The results already appear: customers reduce the timelines, reduce effort and unlock faster ways to innovation.
What is new in Azure Migrute: streamlining migration and modernization across applications and teams

- Extended support for databases and infrastructure (preview): Azure Migrate now supports more scenarios – including PostgreSQL and popular Linux distribution – if no application remains.
