Google quickly changes the results of organic search because it integrates AI. So far, new features have caused loss of traffic on most external sites, which required new tactics and search engine priorities.
Here is the way AI affects the traditional visibility of organic search.
Overview of AI
Overview AI are answers to search questions. They summarize and quote pages with the highest rating, usually correlate traditional SEOs with visibility in reports.
Overview of AI:
- Eliminates the need for search engines to click. If your target query starts an overview, the result is probably less click, even if the overview quotes your page.
- It quotes pages that often appear in an average position of 1 in Google Search Console with abnormally low clicks. The average position on the Performance tab will therefore increase, but the click will be reduced.
“People also ask”
Traditional SEO usually recommends “people also ask” questions for content search and generate clicks. Now Google often gives the AI generated answers to “People ATCH also”, which reduces clicks in this section and organic lists.
Google often gives answers to generated AI questions “People also asks”, such as this example for “oil spots”.
Topics
Google now inserts a section that I call “proposed topics”. It works similarly to the result of fans in which Google suggests issues related to more intentions. For example, the search for “roof repair” could cause suggestions investigating the symptoms and causes of the roof damage.
Clicking on one of these designs creates an AI -generated response that is unlikely to create an external source.

Searching for “roof repair” could cause suggestions investigating the symptoms and causes of the roof damage.
Search snippets generated by AI
Google is likely to test the search for an AI generated that gives up the practice of using the descriptions of meta publishers or body text.
Google sometimes improves an excerpt with other information that may increase click.

Testing search snippets generated by AI replaces or improves the descriptions of meta publishers or body text.
Local search
Google integrates AI into mixed results, especially local packages. Reportedly, AI Google now invites users to learn more about local business and even suggest related fans’ questions.

AI Google suggests fans’ style questions, for example “offer roof cleaning?”
The feature imitates what the URL Panel is doing now: it encourages users to learn more about any page.
Local businesses should now focus on providing details of products or on -site products, customer control, answering questions and more.
Google also integrates AI actions into local packages according to Practice in AI mode. For example, for searching for “car tires near me”, Google could suggest that AI prices check.

Searching for “car tires near me” may include a proposal, such as “having AI control”.
I once feared that generative platforms AI would replace organic search. Instead, the search engines receive AI themselves, so organic results are less predictable, less followed and less operation.
We know what’s going on. The key is to modify the operation, tactics and expectations accordingly.
